Are you a Technical Sales Engineer or Manager with a strong marine background looking for an exciting new position with a leading Marine Contractor?

My client are experiencing growth year on year and are now looking to add to the team a Marine experienced Technical Sales Engineer or Manager at an exciting and busy time.

My client have been going from strength to strength since the company started in 2008, they are a UK leading integrated marine contractor and owner-operator of its own fleet of workboats and barges, the majority based here in the historic maritime town of Falmouth, Cornwall.

Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of a succeeding business with the responsibility of leading the company's growth in the Marine Civils arena.

You will report to the Head of Business Development & Tendering, and under their leadership be responsible for the continued growth of market share of the Marine Civils industry through security of Marine Civils contracts and vessel charters; typically from £100k to £5M in value.

This success will be achieved by leveraging established technical expertise applicable to Marine Civils challenges, supplemented by a strong ability to nurture relationships across both Clients and supply chain. A track record and proven success with bid writing will be desirable.

The Role:

Ownership of technical tendered solutions with involvement of project delivery team
Technical, and occasionally, Commercial lead on tender responses
Generation of accurate quotations and writing of winning proposals
Building new Client base and improving existing Client relationships
Creating repeat business through careful nurture of Client relationships
The Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have minimum 10 years' experience of the Marine / Offshore industries; particular experience in the Marine Civils industry is particularly desirable. She/He will have years of technical experience; from both office and site, and this will be supplemented by a broad commercial understanding of how the industry works; for instance forms of contract, vessel charter etc.
She/He will have strong work-ethic and a desire to succeed, complemented by good organization, communication, and solid written English.
The successful candidate will be experienced in leading a team and will be comfortable in coordinating and developing technical solutions from a position of responsibility with effectiveness.
She/He will have existing strong relationships with Tier 1 contractors across the UK and European from the Marine and Offshore industries.This is an immediate requirement, please click apply now or send your CV to (url removed)
