Job Overview

We have upcoming requirements for Offshore Telecoms Technicians to support technical services activities on our Clients assets offshore.

Main responsibilities:

Liaising with Client offshore and onshore departments for installation, commissioning, testing and fault investigation and resolution
Performing maintenance routines to ensure Client equipment is fully maintained
Supporting other departments as requiredEquipment and systems knowledge requirements:

Inmarsat and Iridium telephone systems
Telemetry communication systems
LoS systems
Fibre optic installation, testing and troubleshooting, carrying out repairs/mods as required
PABX systems
Radio systems – installation and maintenance: UHF/VHF fixed and portable radios and antennas; Airband fixed and portable radios and antennas; EPIRBs – Testing and troubleshooting; Search and Rescue Transponders (SART); NDBs
PAGA Systems – Various
Meteorological systems – troubleshooting and the external equipment and ensuring the system stays compliant with CAP437 standards
Entertainment system – Sky/Digital TV Installation and troubleshooting. Stabilised and fixed TVRO system setup, maintenance and troubleshootingQualifications:

Educated to minimum of HND level (or equivalent experience) in a relevant technical subject
CompEx certification
