Ensure VAT compliance by internal audit of the SDS system and the necessary proof of export – ensure all documents are compliant.
Responsible for ensuring legal understanding and customs regulations remains up to date and these details are issued to the relevant team members
Prepare supporting shipment documentation as and when required through software systems.
Fully understand origin regulations and supporting documentation.
Prepare Instruct and liaise with warehouse teams regarding delivery schedules as necessary
Chase shipment status information through to final delivery when required.
Deal with any deviations or transport issues as they arise.
Deal with any clearance issues as they arrive.
Liaise with suppliers/customers when any transport issues occur.
Match and review entries for checking purposes with relevant files.
Allocate duty deferment statements where required.
Match invoices and update registers for export shipments
Proven experience within a busy manufacturing import and export environment and a sound knowledge of freight.
Numerate with accurate attention to detail
Good problem solving skills, and tenacity to bring about change when required
Good level of Excel skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Leads by example with good motivational skills
Dynamic and proactive

24 days holiday, increasing to 27 days based on yearly service, plus bank holidays.
