Main purpose of job: To support and direct a team of logistics specialists managing time-critical movements within Europe. Maintaining accuracy and attention to detail at all times to deliver continued client satisfaction.
Key job responsibilities
• Support, direct and advise your team
to maintain the business’ strategic plan
• Transfer key knowledge to team members and
assist with their progression within the business
• Meet daily KPI targets to ensure
operational excellence at all times
• Monitor the TMS to ensure it is always up-to-date
• Ensure there are accurate daily
handovers between each shift
• Continually communicate with department team
leaders and support their team where required
• Identify and report carrier non-conformances and
implement staff training improvements
• Ensure the business escalation
process is being adhered to
• Attend weekly team leader client/operations
review meetings, producing a presentation
on the team’s weekly performance
• Using the company’s appraisal process, support
the team twice yearly with objective setting to
assist with staff performance management
• Manage annual leave, absenteeism and weekly rotas
to ensure suitable cover is available at all times
• Support with the weekend on-call rot
