We are currently recruiting a Stock & Shipping Assistant for our reputable client based just outside of Chelmsford. This is a dual role that will be working partly within the picker/packer department and within the office, completing the administrative tasks. Our client is looking for a versatile person to coordinate, manage stock, and fulfil customer orders.

DUE TO THE LOCATION OF THIS ROLE, CANDIDATES MUST HAVE ACCESS TO THEIR OWN TRANSPORT

The role will have the following responsibilities:

Preparing customer orders for outbound deliveries. Correctly picking, checking and packing orders. Preparing declarations for export orders
Processing inbound customer returns.
Stock Administration. Learn to use our inventory and sales systems.
Assisting in unloading inbound deliveries.
Responding to customer queries via email and phone.
Maintains warehouse safety and cleanliness.
Supervise and manage temp staff during peak times.
Proactive in improving processes and work practices.The ideal candidate will need to have:

Good IT Literacy. Competent using a range of different computer systems – ordering system, email, dispatch systems.
A friendly personality dealing with customers on phone and email.
A self-starter, able to work independently.
Keen to learn new skills and knowledge of our products.Experience:

Previous experience or knowledge of marine trade, boating products or automotive products is preferred; but not essential.
Experience of working in picking, packing, warehouse, storeroom, dispatch environment; but not essential.Own means of travel essential

Location: Chelmsford, Essex

Hours: 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday to Friday

Salary: £10.00 – £13.00 per hours, dependant on experience

Assignment Type: Temp to Perm
