Your new role
A permanent role within the Offshore Wind PMO team, to initially work on a prestigious contract. You will be site based working directly with the various suppliers on the supply chain. The Site Buyer is in charge to manage the buying process for a given set of goods/commodities. You will apply sourcing policy, interfacing between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets.
Roles and Responsibilities
Performs sourcing activities under the supervision and coordination of the PMO Project Sourcing Manager.
Search and selection of new site vendors for equipment, services and material in cooperation with PMO Project Sourcing Manager.
Leads on boarding of new suppliers following the correct procedure, with the auxiliary support of PMO Procurement.
Issue RFQ, defines PO requirements for projects and services phase, performs total cost analysis, negotiates all necessary commercial conditions, prepares basis for decision during the project execution phase.
Is aligned with the Business objectives for cost, on-time delivery and payment terms; among others.
Prepares all necessary documentation and supporting archives for Purchase Orders to be issued by PMO Procurement in the ERP system.
In charge of keeping records and organization of sourcing related documents in his/her scope (hardcopies and electronic files in the corresponding databases), according to PMO Sourcing archiving guidelines.
Follow-up of small amount PO deliveries and execution of services together with the PMO Project Sourcing Manager.
Link with other functions (Engineering – Installation – Commissioning – Contract Management – Fulfilment – Logistics – EHS – QMS – Planning – Hub management).
What you'll need to succeed
This role requires good experience in the Sourcing & Buying-Procurement. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience). You should ideally have previous experience of working within a buying capacity on an Offshore Wind Farm project, within the PMO team or similar.
Ideally OFW experience in a buying capacity
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
Ability to work in complex environments; however, make clear and fact-based recommendations.
Result oriented and possessing effective problem identification and solution skills.
Proactivity and versatility to work on different complex topics with a good sense of prioritization.
10% travel to supplier sites
