You will be responsible for:
The process of shipments including the paperwork and business communication concerning the status of the shipments.
Working with all relevant departments to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of product into the operation.
Liaise with the freight and carrier partners in relation to deliveries and collection of stock from suppliers and customers and to produce all relevant shipping documentation.
Ad hoc project support work related to the logistics team.
Continually look for ways to improve the shipping, logistics and operational processes.To be successful within the role you will have:
Proven experience of working within a shipping department, ideally within a retail or logistics business.
Solid and comprehensive understanding of Shipping, Import and Export processes.
Experienced in the use of a range of computer systems. The business uses Microsoft Dynamics AX alongside Microsoft Excel. You will need to be proficient in performing tasks such as V-Lookups and Pivot Tables.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data into real work scenarios.
