Job Title: Business Development Manager – Trenchless Technologies / Pipelines

Industry Sector: Trenchless Technologies, Civil Engineering, Pipelines, Utilities, Tier 1 Contractors, Directional Drilling, Bore Holes

Area to be covered: Worcester

Remuneration: £30,000 – £45,000 + bonus

The role of the Business Development Manager – Trenchless Technologies / Pipelines will involve:

* Responsible for sale and delivery of trenchless technology / directional drilling services alongside new or replacement pipe for water / gas and electric utilities

* Selling directly to end users such as water companies and large end

* Also selling to tier 1 contractors and housing developers

* Dealing with order values ranging from around £10k – £300k plus

* Targeted to achieve around £ 1million turnover 1st year with a view to achieving year on year growth

* 100% concentration on new business generation with a view to generating a regular pipeline of repeat customers

* Regular reporting in to hiring manager and liaising with the technical teams

* Providing technical support to customers and internal staff members

* Covering a territory which will incorporate the whole of the UK and include overnight stays ideally based from a central location

The ideal applicant will be Business Development Manager – Trenchless Technologies / Pipelines with:

* Must have a demonstrable track record in sales of trenchless technologies, directional drilling, bore holes, water / gas or electric pipelines or closely related civil engineering products or services

* Ideally worked for sub contractor or manufacturer that can supply and install products / systems

* Must have a track record of selling to Tier 1 contractors and ideally have an existing contact book with contractors

* Ideally experienced in selling into water utilities market sector

* Capable of generating new business relationships

* Commercially astute, professional, organised

* Capable of working autonomously and willing to learn
