This particular position I am working on is a Sales & Commercial Manager, selling on behalf of a Marine business. Working as the Sales and Marketing Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s commercial activities, including overseeing sales and marketing activities, the negotiation of contracts and partnerships, financial management and product distribution. Managing a team of 2 internal sales admin/account managers and 2 warehouse staff members, you will take seat as one of the senior members within the company. 

HSB Technical’s client base is global – our clients are well established and well-regarded within the Power & Propulsion sector.

Responsibilities (Brief Outline):

Key Points;

•    Identify opportunities, develop relationships, grow sales and manage customer satisfaction

•    Ability to interrogate data and understand pricing, margins and discounting

•    You will possess excellent communication skills, both spoken and written and skilled at building rapport and understanding business requirements of DMC’s

•    Ability to nurture and grow the skills within the existing team, and work closely with key stakeholders across the business

•    Take responsibility for overall sales growth and increasing market share

•    Oversee and offer direction and instruction to sales, order processing and despatch staff

•    Analyse data and performance trends, and in response, adapt and develop existing operational processes in order to improve efficiency and ensure customer satisfaction

•    Attend trade shows in and out of the UK 

•    New Business, Account Management and Distribution Management

•    Designing and implementing a proactive sales plan

•    Maintaining an overview of sales to trade and ecommerce site

•    Marketing: Sending monthly trade newsletters & customer newsletters

•    Ecommerce: Managing stock and products / managing website offers

•    Stock: Managing Returns / Annual Stock List

•    Commercial: Approving purchase invoices

Qualifications / Other Requirements:

•    Ability to work in an Hybrid working function 

•    Full UK Driving Licence (not essential but you must be able to get to site when required)

•    Passport – Limited UK and International Travel will be required (travel time 10% of the year)
