Project Manager – Maritime

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our talented team as an Engineering Project Manager.
As part of this vital role, you will be lead a team for the Maritime Programmes Directorate, notably Navigation Radar and Navigation Compass Programme, managing deliverables from internal System and Specialist Engineering Teams, as well as subcontractors and suppliers.

Duties Include:
Identify engineering scope and produce estimates to deliver it.
* Gather inputs for resource and schedule planning.
* Liaise with Programme Managers on other programmes and Functional Line Managers in order to negotiate use of staff.
* Ensure that the System and Specialist Engineering team meet all the Maritime schedule, revenue and cash targets.
* Develop a positive and cooperative team culture within both LM and the Suppliers Organisations.
* Ensure programme risks are identified and managed effectively to ensure overall programme cost, schedule, and technical objectives are achieved.
* Act as the primary LM engineering point-of-contact for interfacing with various Maritime Major Subcontractors and Suppliers for their workshare elements.
* Provide strategic and tactical leadership within the System and Specialist engineering teams to ensure successful, integrated support and performance to the Maritime programmes.
* Support the delivery and achievement of Programme Payment and Mission Success Milestones being achieved on schedule.
* Provide accurate and timely reports and communication to keep the Programme Managers informed of performance, as well as possible relationship issues..
* Identify, develop and execute long range plans and solutions for complex issues to meet programme performance commitments.

Proven track record in technical team leadership.
* Ability to provide quality support across the range of disciplines and possessing a 'can-do' attitude.
* Have demonstrated the ability to create and manage high performing teams to achieve organisational objectives.
* An established leader with a proven, successful track record of achievement.
And ideally have:
Experience in Maritime domain.
* Experience in multiple Engineering disciplines.
* Understanding of modern Engineering methodologies and processes.
* Engineering background on wide breadth of programmes.
* Experience with Jira.
* Experience interfacing with military customers
