Ocean Freight Customer Service Specialist

Great opportunity to work for a global logistics network in their Ocean Freight Customer Service team! You'd be joining thousands of colleagues worldwide and would have a real chance to develop and progress your career within the freight industry.

The purpose of the Customer Specialist role is to provide first class, excellent Customer Service to all customers, including some large, high value key accounts. Consistently delivering high levels of customer service & satisfaction.

Other duties will include:

Ensuring that all documentation is completed in a correct manner and presented within the expected time frames as designated by the departmental head at any given time
Updating of customer tracking status reports
Communicating effectively with customers & team members by telephone, electronically, or face to face
Proactively organising work flow to meet customer deadlines
Responding promptly to customer enquiries
Ensuring complete adherence to specified SLAs
Attending customer scheduled meetings when required
Ensure all pricing & quotations at branch level are delivered as per company policyThe perfect person for this role will have:

A minimum of 2 years of general freight forwarding knowledge, specifically relating to Ocean imports
Ability o work well within a team and have good communication skills
Ability to be flexible, approachable and understanding to satisfy customer needs
Minimum GCSE standard in English and Maths (or equivalent) essential
