My client is a regional leader in the import & export shipping market. With around 28 years in the industry, they are one of the largest family-owned businesses of their type in the local area. The business is currently undergoing large areas of growth with their workforce expanding from 121 heads to 140 in the last 6 months.

Description

As a Ocean Freight Co-ordinator you will report into the Ocean Freight Manager on a daily basis and commute to the Leicestershire office. You will also have the following key responsibilities:

To organise & arrange critical ocean freight shipments and ensure the smooth running in line with SLA agreements (delivery in progress / completion / arrival status / customs entry / shipper's status).
To manage end-to-end bookings from customers and arrange collections & booking of cargo with carriers.
To generate export & import documentation, arrival notices and customs entries (Bills of Laden, Letter of Credit, STNs.
Generating pricing, quotations for all international ocean freight bookings (FCL / LCL / RoRo / OOG / Bulk)
Deliver a best in class service to customer & network offices regarding international freight movements. Profile

The successful Ocean Freight Co-ordinator will have the following experience & attributes along with the ability to commute to Leicestershire:

2+ years' experience in operational sea / ocean freight
Experience of pricing and conducting ocean freight
Ideally experience of working for a freight forwarder would be advantageous.
Personable with high levels of communication. Job Offer
