What you’ll do
You will be responsible for servicing, repairing and maintenance of Industrial reciprocating and screw compressors including Bitzer, Grasso, Sabroe, Mycom, Stal and York.
• Install, fault find, report faults, repair, commission, modify and survey refrigeration equipment in support of client contracts.
• Monitor and control refrigeration system performance, make technically sound recommendations to crew / onshore personnel.
• Be aware of the contractual requirements for the work and act accordingly.
• Liaise with site personnel, ensure safe systems of work are adhered to and maintenance management systems updated.
• Build relationships with client representatives.
• Proactively highlight and report on areas for improvement.
• Able to identify potential revenue opportunities on client assets
• Review, and confirm understanding & acceptance of data/documents prior to work scope commencement.
• Prepare and submit handover / job completion reports of site activities which enables others (unfamiliar with the project) to readily comprehend the situation and act accordingly.
• Be able to prepare & institute methods / procedures for performing maintenance / installation / commissioning on the asset.
• Able to understand D&IDs, P&IDs, Schematics, General Arrangement drawings, Isometrics and Block Diagrams
• Record and submit to Project Engineer all data from site which is relevant and useful for future reference.
• Ensure document templates are of the latest revision and once populated, are fed back to Project Engineer for review.
• Ensure that tools and instruments provided for the work are fit for purpose, maintained in a good condition, defects reported, and all tools / equipment are returned on completion. Be proficient in the use of tools / equipment required for specific tasks.
Experience you need
• City & Guilds 2079 F-Gas (Cat I) qualification
• Experience with Permit to Work systems.
• Literate in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Good solid understanding of relevant HVAC Standards, Regulations and Guidelines
• Can produce comprehensive high-quality documentation
• Able to understand technical drawings and diagrams
• Level 3 F-Gas qualification (various available)
• CompEx or 17th Edition electrical qualification
• Completed a trade apprenticeship
