Logistics Supervisor (road freight)

Engage Recruitment are seeking an experienced Road Freight Supervisor based in Feltham to grow, develop, and manage a new team. The purpose of the road freight supervisor’s role is to manage the end-to-end processing of the UK and European road freight shipments including customs clearance and fiscal responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Create and arrange Discharge of T1’s (Currently not at our premises)
* Complete Import and Export entries on Sequoia system
* Maintain overview of all current shipments and update clients accordingly
* Liaise with forwarders, hauliers, and overseas agents
* Compile and provide quotations for end-to-end services whilst negotiating best possible provider rates
* Provide excellent customer service
* Ensure that all data is input accurately into operational systems where applicable
* Ensure HMRC compliance
* Oversee the operation of the department including managing the team, currently 2 other staff members
The individual
* Proven experience within the road freight industry
* Excellent understanding of customs procedures and HMRC compliance
* Post Brexit road freight customs knowledge
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Excel and Microsoft office package proficient
* Clear and effective communication
* Outstanding customer service

Working hours and salary
Generally, 09.00 – 17.30 Monday – Friday (can be flexible with hours and working arrangements). Availability over the weekends for monitoring and overseas update purposes.
£35,000 – £38,000 per year
