Lead Marine Wildlife Analyst

Leading Independent Environmental Consultancy seeks an experienced Lead Marine Wildlife Analyst.

About you:

One of the main roles of the Ornithology team is to organise, undertake and analyse aerial surveys of birds – particularly offshore. The team uses robust science to find solutions for both the private and public sectors. The role of Lead Image Analyst will contribute to the success of the team by assisting with image processing and analysis, as well as data handling; the successful candidate will also be expected to lead on analysis of group assigned projects and surveys.

About you

The company is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic individual with a proven track record in image analysis. Knowledge and an understanding of avian (or marine mammal) ecology including aspects of behaviour, breeding and migration would be beneficial but not essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for the right motivated individual to join our expanding, busy and experienced Marine Wildlife and Ornithology team.

Skills and Experience:

A minimum of 6-months experience as an Image Analyst
Strong ornithological identification knowledge
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent data handling skills and a good IT proficiency
Previous project coordination experience (desirable)
Msc and/or Bsc in a relevant, related discipline (desirable)
