Late Shift Cargo Operations Agent

A LATE SHIFT OPERATIONS AGENT role based at Manchester Airport has arisen to work one of the world's leading Air Cargo and Express Wholesaler companies

The company mainly offer Air Freight Wholesale Services to Freight Forwarders but they also can offer an excellent Air Express Courier and Road Service too. Previous Airline, Air Freight Forwarding , International Courier or GSA background is essential for this role

Job title: Late Shift Operations Agent

Reports to: Regional Manager – North

To ensure the smooth running of the late shift operation.

Main accountabilities include:
– Acceptance of shipments via our reception point
– Checking and ensuring paperwork is complete to required standards
– Completion of Customs Entries
– Completion of flight files
– The accurate completion of airway bills at house and master level
– Action and completion of reports for the day operation
– Completion of sensitive security documents
– Liaising with both suppliers and overseas agents
– Pre-alerting our local hubs with expected shipments
– Ensuring deadlines are met as specified
– Ensuring the operation is secure at all times and all DFT regulations are adhered to
– Liaise with all other departments and external suppliers
– Any other reasonable duties

Qualifications and Experience:
– Sound functional knowledge of Cargo Operations
– Excellent communication skills both verbal & written
– Good interpersonal skills essential
– Self-motivated with proven ability to work on own initiative
– Excellent attention to detail
– Effective problem solver
– Ability to make sound decisions with good justification
– Excellent people skills
– Ability to create a productive team environment for staff
– Must be flexible on occasion with working hours
– Security certificate Level CO required – (training will be provided)

Salary: £25k plus £1,432.08 shift pay
Hours: 37.5 – Monday, Wednesday 14:00 to 22:30, Tuesday, Thursday 14:30 to 22:30 and Friday 14:30 to 00:00
Holiday: 20 Days + 8 Bank Holidays
