Insurance Claims Assistant (Marine) – North East UK – Permanent – Competitive salary

An opportunity has arisen with a leading insurance organisation for an Insurance Claims Assistant to join their busy team in North East England that exclusively deal with marine claims.

You will be required to conduct research relating to claims, produce and maintain spreadsheets and presentations and at times handle claims directly under the supervision of a more experienced Claims Handler.

A basis of knowledge about the shipping industry if preferred, this can be from education or working in another area of the maritime sector. More importantly this role suits someone who has long term career aspirations to work within the marine insurance market and is keen to develop and grow.

The company require an individual who is a team player, confident at speaking in group meetings and who has good skills with Microsoft office applications. A good package is available for the successful applicant and the opportunity to join a leading organisation.
