General manager- Marine maintenance

My client is looking to recruit a General Manager with immediate effect in Avonmouth within the marine repair and maintenance industry.

The role will have overall responsibility for the management of a profitable business unit that achieves budgetary expectations, ensuring that you and the unit adhere to the company's core values.

Principle duties are to be responsible for the following

1. Operations.

2. Planning

3. Health, Safety and the Environment

4. Profit and Loss

5. Communication

6. Colleague Discipline

7. Quality Assurance and Customer Satisfaction

8. Compliance

In addition to these responsibilities you need to be flexible in your approach and potentially undertake other duties in assisting my client's objectives.

Ideally, you will have a minimum of 10 years experience in the marine industry, with a positive outlook and attitude at all times.

Have substantial professional recognised qualification within your trade specialism.

Have a good understanding of IT packages including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Have good communication skills in both written and spoken English

Have high levels of numberacy, literacy and people management skills and be comfortable to use these skills in the presence of clients, employees and Company Directors.

Will need to be prepared and confident to travel as and when required.

Have a full UK drivers licence.

Salary is between £50000 to £55000pa depending on experience
