Description
As a freight supervisor you will be reporting to the Operations Manager on a daily basis, you will also have the following responsibilities;
Managing and coordinating the organisation, staffing and operational activities within the freight team.
Engagement with Logistics Vertical Leaders, Trade Lane Managers. Branch Managers and Sales colleagues to ensure the best strategic customer solution and most competitive rate provided at all times.
Use of critical thinking and problem solving by meeting and communicating with staff to identify and resolve problems to increase/improve all aspects of the environment.
Use Innovation and creativity in building the best tailored solutions in the field of Freight.
Maintain accurate records and files of data to ensure compliance and correct data management is done.
You will be a part of the team that owns and maintains our UK sell rate tariffs in all Logistics systems and the driving force for all rates to be # 1 market competitive.
Profile
The Successful Freight Supervisor will first and foremost have a passion within Logistics and Freight, this individual will be an expert within freight and have an understanding of the day to day tasks along with the following attributes;
Ability to Commute to Manchester
Experience in Air freight (Preferably multi-model)
Import and Export Background
Understanding of documentation services and customs compliance.
