Our client is a well-established independent Freight forwarder, offering freight forwarding solutions on a bespoke basis including mainland Europe and the Scandinavian regions, services to the USA and Asia along with Transport/Courier services. The company provide a comprehensive range of freight forwarding services, with focus on giving customers a single point of contact for all their transportation needs. With Freight services extensive and personalised to the specific requirements of the client, with all arrangements and documentation taken care of by a dedicated team.
Now looking due to continued expansion and development to strengthen and add to the freight team a Logistics Administrator at their Sheffield location.
The main part of the role will be to offer various levels of support to the sales account managers.
On a daily basis you will be required to:
* Obtain Quotes
* Create Job Loads
* Liaising with suppliers/customers
* Generate Invoices
* Order Processing
* Help cover for the account managers dealing with and organising freight when we have holidays/ sickness/ out of the office.
* Customs requests from our in-house team
The ideal candidate will have worked within a similar role previously within in a freight forwarding office, European or international logistics company (however we will consider applicants who have worked in the transport/shipping dept for a manufacturer.
The role will include requesting customs clearances for both import and export entries from our internal customs department. Basic customs knowledge would be advantageous however at the very least an understanding of what a commercial invoice is.

20 days holiday raising to 30 with service plus 2 days extra days at Christmas
Salary: £24,000 to £28,000 dependent upon experience
