Freight Forwarder – Multimodal Operator

I have a superb opportunity for a Freight Forwarder to work for an established Global Logistics & Freight operator working close to their site in Manchester but working a hybrid role, predominantly working from home and attending the office as and when required.

About the role:

Working within 5 prime areas, Supply chain optimization, freight forwarding, contract logistics, distribution & express and road transport.
You will have general knowledge of Multimodal Transport, predominantly Export Sea Freight.
You will be providing services of clearances, quotes, arranging shipment/deliveries, invoicing and other functions as required.Requirements

The ideal candidate will have general knowledge of Multimodal Transport
Export Sea Freight exposure
4-5 years knowledge of the international Transportation & Logistics industry in export Air Sea road operations
A good knowledge of financials and the impact on business
A very good knowledge of IT systems & Processes used within transport sectorDaily Duties:

Completion of end to end forwarding activities
Follow strict and time sensitive SOP's and KPI's to ensure compliance
Work closely with internal & external customers
Offer top class customer service
Use of Cargo wise (Next Gen) & MS Office
Ensure invoicing, job costing, CIA, Netting and milestone are updated within the required timeframe
Month end department compliance
Customs Entries
Ensure all reports including internal and customer specific are completed within the deadline
Resolve queries from customers and suppliers
Remain in contact with customers and suppliers to maintain relationships
To take part in customer reviews when required to build up visibility and relationships with customers.
Assist sales and management with customer developmentSalary

£28,000 to £30,000 (DOE) working 9am- 5pm Mon- Fri, plus an extensive benefits package and career progression opportunities
