Freight Administrator Required. Our client is the premier fine art handling, shipping, and storage company in the UK. Established in 1972, they have world-class reputation for providing solutions to the most complex art transport and installation challenges. They have been involved in handling many of the world’s most prestigious fine art objects and are now the agent of choice for the many national museums, art galleries and private collectors.
They are now looking for an experienced Freight Administrator to join their team based in Tower Hamlets. The successful candidate will ensure estimate requests are dealt with in a timely manner with a view to maximise conversion rates and to report to the Gallery Services Team Manager.
Freight Administrator – Position Overview
* Plan, develop & produce estimates for clients – air/road/sea import, export, and UK.
* Research possible routings, get detailed information and prices from technical services teams, shipping & suppliers.
* Plan own daily workload – monitoring incoming estimated requests with other members of the estimating team
* Take client enquiries and liaise with clients on a day-to-day basis
* Follow up estimates on regular basis with a view conversion
* General close consultation with technical services / coordinators
* Brief gallery services co-ordinators on jobs once they are converted
* Answering co-ordinators questions on pricing / estimating
* AMS data entry and Excel work.

* Experience in a similar / logistics background
* Administrative excellence with a high attention to detail
* Excellent computer literacy
* Highly collaborative / analytical skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to manage time and see projects through to completion
* Flexible & co-operative approach to work
* Assist colleagues, customers and suppliers in resolving security issues and escalating where necessary.
Freight Administrator – Position Remuneration
* Monday to Friday – 8:30am – 17:30pm
* Salary £21,000 – £25,000 DOE
* 28 holiday days (including bank holidays)
