I have a superb opportunity for a Freight Account Manager to work for a Professional Freight Logistics Service company with International Logistics based in Trowbridge. Offering a wide range of freight transportation and storage services with specialised customs clearance, packing and chamber documentation across Air, Ocean & Sea. This is an office based position.
To build up relationships with existing & new clients (brought on by sales team) within UK and European Road Freight by excellent customer services strengthening my clients market position. They have a particular focus on temperature-controlled movements.
Managing the day to day running of existing sales accounts
Ensuring effective communication lines between customer and supplier
Maintain existing work and spot new opportunities by up selling/cross selling
On-boarding new customers (brought on by sales team) – Relationship building
Ensuring customs documents have been completed by our customs team and followed up if any issues.
Rate negotiation and margin maximising
European & UK Road Freight experience
Understanding of temperature-controlled movement (advantage)
Knowledge of customs
A result orientated, hardworking, self-starter who has a good understanding of the industry
Excellent customer service skills
Attention to detail
Ability to communicate at all levels within the business, good persuasive, and negotiation skills
Good Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint
Upto £40,000 depending on experience with £400 monthly on target office scheme (very achievable). Mon-Friday 8am – 5pm. Benefits – 1st year – 22 days holiday (2nd year -25 days) plus bank holidays, pension + others.
