Interaction Recruitment are looking for an experienced Export Shipping Coordinator to work for their client, a busy Manufacturing company based in Leeds on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. You will be required to perform all necessary duties in shipping my clients export orders overseas and ensure all current legislation is adhered too.

Day to day duties will include:

-Liaise with other departments within Airedale (such as Order Processing, Manufacturing, Test, Accounts) to progress the order due for export.

-Communication with customers, informing them of progress of their orders and shipment details.

-Negotiating freight rates with both forwarders and agents.

-Ensure that the customer is receiving a quality service for shipping and at a good price.

-Advise the cost of freight for export quotations to our International Sales Engineers.

-Advise of any special requirements known for deliveries, e.g. if a crane is required for loading.

-Liaise with customers for export orders being shipped under EXW terms to ensure their

forwarder collects the goods on time.

-Advise customer shipping under EXW terms the full packed details and for trailer and sea

shipments advise how many trailers or containers may be needed.

-Deal with local Chamber of Commerce for all certification and legalisation requirements.

-Check and sign off all invoices received from our freight forwarders and agents to ensure they are correct and match the rates obtained.

Key skills and experience required for the role include:

-Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Export Shipping

-A variety of shipping terms will be used so experience with Incoterms preferable

-Strong communication skills are essential

-Ability to communicate effectively with customers, both internally and externally

-Excellent organisational and time management skills

-Strong attention to detail.

You will be required to work from 7am to 4pm from Monday to Thursday with a 3pm finish on a Friday. The salary for the role is £32k+ pa Depending on Experience and this is advertised as a 12 month FTC.
