European Freight Forwarding Clerk

Our client is a global Freight Forwarder with a simple approach. They believe Logistics is about providing clients with a service you can count on. The services they offer include Air Freight, Sea Freight, Surface Freight, Warehousing, Distribution, Fairs & Exhibition and Projects.

Joining an already established and successful freight forwarding team you will get involved with a European Freight exports and imports trailer freight service
You will act as the interface between the Trailer operators at other internal offices with groupage freight and plan these groupage loads together.
You will negotiate with external hauliers to get best rates and book loads you will also use own network

We are looking for an experienced Trailer freight / European freight forwarder to apply for this role. You will be very experienced with groupage trailer exports, be very cost aware with good negotiating skills to apply
This role has excellent opportunities for the role to develop into a supervisory/team leader role for the right candidate
You must have worked within the freight forwarding industry or related industry and have road freight experience to apply

Benefits

Salary – £24,000 to £27,000 dependent upon experience
Plus, Benefits
9am – 5pm or 8am – 4pm – Monday to Friday
Hybrid working is also available for 1 or 2 days from home working a week
