Salary – £30,000 – £35,000 dependent upon experience
Hours – Monday – Friday 0900am – 1800hrs

We are currently partnering with a leading freight forwarder, a global logistics provider who are currently seeking a Charter Operator to join their well-established team in Dartford. Our client is passionate about their people and the service that they provide to their customer.

Role Purpose

To supply road charter solutions in response to customer requests and other department requests, such as sales, Cargoplus, European and UK dispatch teams in a cost effective and efficient manner maximising profit whilst never faltering on providing on the highest levels of service.


To respond effectively and within the agreed timeframe to all customer requests for charter services to provide cost effective and efficient solutions
Ensure compliance of standard operating procedures and maintain quality standards as well as excellent customer service.
Maintain a charter supplier database ensuring that there are a range of cost-effective options to enable them to deliver customer requirements
Manage suppliers effectively to minimise cost and ensure sustainability
Ensure that all reporting procedures are complied with and that all charter paperwork is accurate and efficiently handled
Ensure that profit is maximised at all opportunities without compromising quality
Efficient and accurate administration, updating status, PODs, Invoices, and quotes

The candidate

Previous experience in a European Charter role

European geographical knowledge

Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

Ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the charter sector
