Customer Service Agent - Air Freight

Job title: Customer Service Agent – Air Express based at Heathrow Airport

Reports to: Customer Service Supervisor – Air Express

To assist with the day to day operation of the Air Express Customer Services Department. The role will involve working as part of a team to provide comprehensive administrative support to the department. You will be responsible for handling customer requests, running reports and effectively dealing with customer queries.

Main accountabilities include:
– Answering customer queries via both email & telephone within a timely manner.
– Opening and resolving queries raised in relation to track and trace.
– Running reports and tracking overseas Agents for information on deliveries to ensure on time performance.
– Responding to customer requests for documentation.
– Replying to customer's requests for shipment updates and providing accurate information.
– Updating AMI's bespoke system with data relating to tracking.
– Inputting Proof of Deliveries (PODs) into our bespoke System.
– Any other reasonable requests.

Qualifications and Experience:
– Proven previous experience of working within a similar role within an international Courier Company or similar.
– A high level of customer service skills.
– Good and accurate data entry skills.
– Good attention to detail.
– Excellent communication skills both written & verbal.
– Knowledge of MS Office – including outlook and excel.
– Ability to work on own initiative, and experience of troubleshooting.
– Team Player.
– Completion of Aviation Security Certificate Level CO – Training provided

Salary: £20k – £22k
Hours: 09:00 – 17:30
Holiday:20 Days + 8 Bank Holidays
