Commercial Manager (Marine and Highways)

The Civils & Infrastructure Division of Ford & Stanley are looking for Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers to support our client’s continuing growth and make a difference to their business and to UK Infrastructure.

You will be assisting in the growth of their fastest-growing division, working on major rail and highways projects across the UK.

My client is one of the leading Civil Engineering/Structural examination consultancies in the UK, operating across several sectors,

They specialize in 'difficult to access' structural examinations, including roped access and underwater survey work. They are currently looking for a talented Quantity Surveyor To manage all commercial activities to support the delivery of Highways and Marine. As part of the team, you will work closely with the management team to support on all commercial aspects of projects.

Salary:

£45,(Apply online only) – 60,(Apply online only) per annum

Roles and Responsibilities

Work closely with the Sectors management teams to support all commercial activities for all Highways, Marine and Utilities projects
Support the sector heads, Finance Director and Commercial Director as required with commercial reporting and analysis, including forecasting to identify resource requirements. 
Take the lead to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, in order that their commercial requirements are fully understood and implemented.  
Maintain regular liaison with all key stakeholders on project progress, conducting regular reviews with the client and the teams.
Candidate Requirements

Experience in document control, reporting, drafting, negotiating and claims management.
Exposure to the engineering, technology, or technical services sectors.
Essential – strong interpersonal skills and drive to succeed.
Desirable – minimum of 3 years* professional experience with NEC Contracts or in Commercial Management in project execution, preferably significantly more experience.
