Commercial Contracts Manager – Major Oil & Gas Project
London office based with travel to North East England

Introduction
We are currently recruiting for a Contracts Manager to join our client who are a global organisation who are well established within the Renewables, Oil & Gas and Power Generation sectors.
This role will be overseeing a major Biorefinery project in North East England however, the position will be based out of their offices in London 3 days a week with occasional travel when required.
Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting into the Project Director, you will be responsible for:
Monitoring and maintaining the commercial aspects of the project contracts and liaising with the Project Director to ensure the plant meets its obligations under all project contracts
Responsible for all contractual/commercial issues and leading a team of contract specialists
Identifying and documenting all the company's contract obligations under various project contracts and working with the PD and rest of the client team to ensure licensors, FEED contractor and EPC contractors deliver of their obligations
Managing the process of ensuring all milestones are completed and certified before any payments are made
Managing any claims that may occur through any of the project contracts
Monitoring project costs and forecasting costs to completion of the project
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
Ideally a degree qualified candidate in a relevant subject such as Quantity Surveying, Law, etc
Prior experience in large scale infrastructure Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects. Experience of EfW Projects would also be beneficial but not essential
Experience of major FEED engineering contracts
Experience of license agreements and proprietary technology
Experience managing large scale EPC Contracts with global contractors
Experience of managing industrial relations on large construction sites
Experience of feedstock supply agreements / processing agreements
Ability to prioritise and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong relationship management skills
