Class 2 RORO driver

Class 2 Roll On Roll Off Driver

Berry Recruitment are currently looking for a Class 2 Hook Loaded RORO Driver to work on an ongoing basis in a busy warm environment in the production of compost. This is Temp to Perm position. Immediate start. Rate of pay is from £10.21 per hour depending on experience

A successful candidate may have the option for a temp to perm contract

Shift pattern is 2 weeks starting at 05:45-14:15, then 2 weeks starting at 13:45-22:15

Role involves:

To work in a small team over two shifts to operate Class 2 Hook Loaders (RORO) to support the processing of household waste through the Mechanical Biological Treatment Plant (MBT) through various phases of mechanical separation.
To complete daily checks on vehicles, logging faults on a database system & reporting defects to Vehicle Workshop.
Working at all times in accordance with relevant risk assessments and safe working methods, taking into account site hazards on the day, and using the appropriate supplied safety clothing.
Reporting of all incidents, close calls, any unsafe acts or unsafe situations seen on site to Line Manager.

This is a very warm working environment. Safety boots and hi vis workwear is required to be worn on site at all times.

Ideally the candidate will have experience with RORO, however training can be given for drivers how have yet to experience roll on roll off skips. Full Class 2 licence, CPC and Tacho card is essential.

Geographic location is remote therefore access to train line with a cycle or own transport is preferable.
