I have an exciting opportunity as Business Development Manager (within Freight, Transport & Logistics) with Multi-Modal Freight experience.
The role of the Business Development Manager is to win new business and work to agreed targets. You will work as part of the Sales Team with responsibility for generating new business opportunities and account management that will produce desired revenue goals.
Proactively develop new business
Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures the attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
Responsible for the performance and development of the accounts.
Develop long-lasting relationships with new clients and maintain existing ones.
Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
Achieve targets/deadlines set by Sales Director.
Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.
Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
Maintain accurate records of all pricing, sales, and activity reports submitted by Account.
Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.
Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codesAbout you:
At least 2 years of BDM experience
Be able to work toward targeted goals
Perishable's experience would be a bonus
