Business Development Executive - Freight

Job Title: Business Development Executive
Industry: Time Critical Logistics, Air Freight
Location: Home based with occasional requirement to visit office in Coventry
Package: upto £35k basic + generous, uncapped commission structure, laptop, pension and healthcare

What the position will entail:
Generating sales leads, both major blue-chip companies and SME businesses
Identifying decision makers and potential requirements for the services we offer
Attending regular Teams meetings with prospects & clients to present, demonstrate, promote our services & online tools
Developing and managing existing accounts
Maintaining regular contact with previously lost customers to regain the business
Keeping and maintaining accurate customer information using the company's CRM
Working towards financial sales targets and weekly KPI's
Reporting directly to the Group Commercial Director

Required skills & experience:
Positive attitude, enthusiastic and must be able to show initiative
Professional & confident phone manner
Confidence to deal with people at all levels
Being dependable, reliable and team spirited
+3 Years B2B sales/telesales/business development experience in a fast-paced sales environment with short sales cycles
Experience of working within the time critical logistics, freight forwarding or international express parcels is highly desirable
Degree educated and/or proven success in a similar role
