Location: Manchester

Salary: £25,000 – £30,000

RG Freight Recruitment are working on behalf of a freight forwarder and customs broker to find an Airfreight Export Operator to join the team in Manchester.

This client have been operating for over 25 years. Based at Manchester Airport, they operate from a purpose built facility to arrange multi modal transport across the globe.

Their small but experienced and dedicated team, offer air, road and sea movements to a large section of the manufacturing industry in the UK. A key part of their ethos is to treat each shipment and each client as priority. They achieve this by providing first class service, bespoke services and partnering with agents across six continents

They are now recruiting for an Airfreight Export Operator due to expanding work loads. The successful candidate will be responsible for ocean imports but will also have the opportunity to learn other modes of transport.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

* End to end airfreight exports

* Customs entries

* Account management and customer service

* Booking jobs into the in-house system

* Providing accurate quotes

* Completing airway bills

* Negotiating rates with air freight carriers

* Shipment tracking and resolving issues in a timely manner

* Invoicing

* General freight forwarding administration

The Person

* Experience of air exports in a freight forwarding environment

* Sound knowledge of customs entries

* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

* Good attention to detail

* Computer literate
