Air and Sea Freight Operator

Our client is a highly successful Logistics provider who provide Air, Sea & Road Freight Forwarding solutions on a global scale. They have an established international network, which offers customers an exceptional service at competitive prices.

This global freight forwarder is now looking for an experienced Air and Sea Freight Clerk based out of their busy site in Durham.
Duties & Responsibilities:

* This will be a start to finish role so a good understanding of the full Import and export operation is essential including Customs entries
* Customs Clearance
* Able to work under pressure
* Multi-tasking
* Post Entries
* Dealing with Trading Standards
* Dealing with Customs Audit
* T1 Discharge
* Customs clearance and entry within the customs system
* Dealing with Supplies/ Shipping lines & airlines
* Negotiating with supplies to get the best prices.
* Dealing with customers directly.

To be considered for this role you must have previously worked with a freight forwarder
